Aayatin Relief and Development Organization (ARDO) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization established to assist vulnerable communities and reduce suffering, hunger and poverty through sustainable, integrated and community-centred development.
Our background
ARDO was established in January 2010 by young professionals with academic and practical experience in humanitarian and emergency operations. The organization responds to humanitarian challenges in Somalia by supporting long-term community resilience alongside urgent relief.
Its work brings together emergency relief, water, education, agriculture, health, women’s empowerment and livelihood support. ARDO also conducts community assessments and research so programmes can respond to real needs on the ground.
Area of operation
ARDO is headquartered in Mogadishu and works across Somalia, with a stated operational focus on the southern and central regions.
